Sermorelin (GRF 1-29 NH2) is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of GHRH. It stimulates GH production while preserving natural feedback mechanisms and pulsatile secretion. Previously FDA-approved for pediatric GH deficiency, it restores youthful GH patterns without suppressing endogenous production.

Research Applications
- Endocrinology: Sermorelin (GRF 1-29 NH2) is studied as a physiological GH replacement strategy that stimulates endogenous pituitary GH production rather than providing exogenous GH. Research examines how it preserves natural pulsatile secretion patterns, maintains hypothalamic-pituitary feedback, and avoids the supraphysiological GH levels associated with exogenous GH administration. Its previous FDA approval provides validated clinical study frameworks.
- Gerontology: Sermorelin is studied in aging research for its ability to restore youthful GH secretion patterns in elderly subjects experiencing somatopause. Research examines age-related changes in pituitary responsiveness to GHRH stimulation, the reversibility of GH decline through chronic GHRH analog administration, and the metabolic, body composition, and functional outcomes of restored GH pulsatility in aging populations.
- Pediatric Endocrinology: Sermorelin was previously FDA-approved for pediatric growth hormone deficiency diagnosis and treatment, providing extensive clinical safety and efficacy data. Research continues to examine its effects on growth velocity, predicted adult height attainment, and pituitary reserve testing applications in children with suspected GH deficiency or constitutional growth delay.
- Sleep Medicine: Sermorelin is studied for its effects on nocturnal GH secretion and sleep quality. Research demonstrates enhanced GH pulse amplitude during slow-wave sleep, improved subjective sleep quality, and increased proportion of deep restorative sleep stages. Studies examine the bidirectional relationship between GH secretion and sleep architecture enhancement.
Reconstitution Protocol
- 1 Remove the flip-off cap and wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab.
- 2 Using a sterile syringe, draw the desired volume of bacteriostatic water (BAC water).
- 3 Insert the needle into the vial at an angle and slowly dispense the water down the inside wall — do not spray directly onto the powder.
- 4 Gently swirl (do not shake) the vial until the powder is fully dissolved.
- 5 Label the vial with the reconstitution date and concentration.
Storage Conditions
Unreconstituted
Store at -20°C to 4°C (freezer or refrigerator). Stable for 24+ months.
Reconstituted
Refrigerate at 2–8°C. Use within 30 days for optimal stability.
Avoid
Repeated freeze-thaw cycles, direct sunlight, and temperatures above 25°C.
Always note the reconstitution date on the vial label to track shelf life accurately.
Safety & Compliance
- Wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles when handling research compounds.
- Work in a clean, controlled environment (laminar flow hood recommended).
- Dispose of sharps and used materials in approved biohazard containers.
- This product is for laboratory research use only (RUO) — not for human or veterinary use.
